Maram Sakr

I'm a Ph.D. student at the joint program between the University of British Columbia, Canada and Monash University, Australia. I am co-advised by professores Elizabeth Croft, Dana Kulić and Mike Van der Loos. My research interest lies in the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and human-robot interaction. In particular, I focus on enabling everyday users to intuitively and efficiently program robots. I was a visiting graduate scholar at the Intuitive Computing Laboratoryat the Department of Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University.I am funded by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.

I completed my M.Sc. degree at the School of Engineering Science at Simon Fraser University where I worked at the Menrva lab under the Supervision of Prof. Carlo Menon. I received my B.Sc. degree in Computers and Systems Engineering at Mansoura University,Egypt.
